Mark Appleton

With over 20 years working in the financial services, I believe that financial planning is the backbone to people addressing their financial needs and objectives. It is a role where using a highly personalised service leads to a greater understanding of my clients which delivers a more robust and complete financial plan.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Having enjoyed senior roles within investment management and private banking at Rensburg Sheppards and subsequently Barclays Wealth, I joined BUTLER Capital in 2010 and it became very clear that the firm’s ethos of a highly personalised service to develop valued long term clients was a shared, long held belief of mine.

I enjoy the diverse nature of our clients, their needs and how my role as financial adviser is a key component in creating bespoke and innovative solutions for their objectives, whose motivations are often unique.

We at BUTLER Capital focus on a personal service that makes our proposition valued and different.

In my spare time my wife Victoria and daughters Daisy and Poppy (the Apples of their father’s eye!!) keep me very busy. An active sportsman I have enjoyed playing rugby for Waterloo, cricket for Hightown and football for the Liverpool Ramblers, enjoying some success! But you will find me actively involved at Formby Golf Club enjoying a stubborn handicap of 11.
